The best way to get in touch is via mobile — either a text or a call. I'm based in Auckland and tutor online across New Zealand. I respond to all enquiries personally.
After-school classes & holiday programmes: These operate on a waitlist. Mention your interest and I'll add you — I'll be in touch when spaces become available.
Where are sessions held?
In-person sessions are available in Auckland. Online sessions are available for students anywhere in New Zealand — all you need is a device and an internet connection.
How quickly will you respond?
I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours. For urgent requests (upcoming exams etc), mention it in your message.
What about the after-school classes and holiday programmes?
These have a waitlist. Mention your interest in your message and I'll add you to the list and be in touch when spaces open.
Do you offer a trial session?
Yes — I'm happy to discuss what a first session looks like. Just mention it in your message.
What's the cancellation policy?
I ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations where possible. We can discuss this when we confirm your booking.
What to Include
To help me respond quickly and accurately, please include the following in your message:
Your child's name and age
So I can address them appropriately and tailor my approach.
Year level and curriculum
E.g. Year 8, Year 10 NCEA, Year 12 IB AA, Cambridge A-Level, etc.
What they're struggling with
Specific topics (algebra, fractions, calculus) or general confidence — whatever you've noticed.
Your goals for tutoring
Passing exams, getting Excellence, building confidence, getting ahead — be specific.
Upcoming exams or deadlines
If there's a time-sensitive exam or assessment, let me know so we can prioritise.
Preferred days and times
After school, evenings, weekends — what works best for your family.
Example message
“Hi James, I'm enquiring about tutoring for my daughter Mia, who is 14 and in Year 10. She's struggling with algebra and has lost a lot of confidence in maths. We're hoping to build her up for NCEA next year. She's available after school Tuesday and Thursday. Would you be able to help?”
